TEI Group Expands into the U.S. Southeastern Region
When President Mark Gregorio joined TEI Group in 1994, there were twelve employees, with an annual volume of approximately $3M. After he and two other partners, John Fichera (retired) and Michael J. Staub (EVP of Operations) bought the entire company in 1999, they began to rapidly flourish.
Today, the current management team has grown this independent company to over $150 million within the New York Metropolitan market. Now, the team looks to expand its operations further south, starting with Florida, under the seasoned leadership of Chad Posey, EVP of Southeastern Region, who has a tenue of 25 years in the vertical transportation industry in Florida.
“Build it, and they will come,” says Gregorio, President. “Once upon a time, there was a great independent elevator company in Florida. History tends to repeat itself. We look forward to doing our part.”
TEI Florida’s headquarters are located in Tampa, FL, where the company looks to provide a comprehensive suite of vertical transportation services including new construction, modernization, repair, and maintenance for the commercial, large residential, hospitality, and institutional markets which are unique to Florida.
“We are what we repeatedly do: Safety, Quality, Integrity. We care about our customers’ needs and that is reflected in our workplace culture and project results,” says Posey, EVP of SE. “With these core values, the business will create itself. This is the TEI motto, and Florida truly embodies these values.”
TEI Group technicians are trained to install, maintain, repair, and modernize all brands of elevators and escalators. No matter the project, no matter the size, and no matter then scope, TEI is the trusted partner of global and local developers and property management companies.
Whether it is a single hydraulic elevator installed by an OEM or a campus of equipment installed by myriad of companies, TEI has a lifecycle solution for customers in both New York and Florida.
