I'm the Director of Field Surveys for TEI Group. I've been in the elevator industry for over 27 years, and it's an enjoyable career. The ability to help customers stay current with elevator codes is a challenge, but the results are worth it. The ability to take an antiquated elevator system and bring it up to current standards is one of the things I love about my work. The main aspect of being a Director of Field Surveys is "support." From solving code issues to assisting a mechanic with surveyed jobs, my day varies greatly. My favorite part of the day is meeting our customers and future clients. I survey their current systems and provide a detailed evaluation of their elevators, allowing us to provide proper service.
